Recyclestein and Frankenstein!

Charlotte Mecklenburg Library has selected Frankenstein by Mary Shelley (and This Dark Endeavor by Kenneth Oppel, The Fourteenth Goldfish by Jennifer Holm, and Frankencrayon by Michael Hall, as the young reader companion reads) for it's 2016 Community Read title.  On Saturday, October 15th, ImaginOn invites patrons to bring the story to life with two fun activities:  Recyclestein and a live reading of Frankenstein.

From 10:00 till 2:00 we need your help to build a giant Frankenstein's monster out of recyclables!  This is open to all ages, no registration needed.

Then at 3:00, students from Children’s Theatre of Charlotte’s School of Theatre Training bring to life Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein in this reader’s theatre presentation of a classic. Victor creates life from death resulting in a Monster that takes control and drives Victor to madness. Come and see this tragic tale of terror!  No registration or tickets required.
