HIPSTORY is a celebration connecting youth to African-American culture and history.

Thursday, February 23, 2017 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at ImaginOn

Join us for HIPSTORY to enjoy live performances and visit exhibitor stands that celebrate African-American culture and history. The exhibitor area (in the Park Family Story Lab area) will be open to the public. Please sign up online if you'd like to attend the theater performances. A family-friendly event for teens (12-18), preteens (10-11), and families.

Nominate someone for the 2017 Hipstory Outstanding Community Service Award

The 2017 HIPSTORY Outstanding Community Service Award with the Charlotte Mecklenburg Library seeks to recognize those members of Mecklenburg County who raise awareness of those marginalized, focuses on a better future for all children and who help change lives of people in the community.

Nominations must be received no later than 5 p.m. on Friday February 10, 2017.
