January 16, 12-3pm: World of Words and Stories Feb 20, 12-3pm: World of Dance March 20, 12-3pm: World of Music April 17, 12-3pm: World of Art The Your House, My House exhibition coincides with the launch of Charlotte Mecklenburg Library’s World Family Festival, presented in collaboration with International House. The Festival celebrates artistic expression and communities around the globe, with particular emphasis on Native American, African, Latin and Asian cultures. The events are sponsored by the Arts and Science Council, with support from the North Carolina Arts Council. Activities will include crafts, music, free performances, and games. The festival will take place at ImaginOn on four themed Saturdays. Youth Performance Group Volunteers: Groups with prepared shows that celebrate culture are welcomed. Performances or demonstrations should be 10-15 minutes in length and require minimal technical support. General Volunteers: Groups interested in volunteering as greeters, guides, setup and clean up helpers are welcomed.
