Michele - Teen Services Manager
Michele moved to Charlotte from Austin, TX in 2005 specifically to be a part of the ImaginOn Team. Michele is currently writing her 4th book, so she spends a lot of time of her spare time staring at a computer screen. When she’s not working, which is not often, Michele likes horror movies, the smell of Autumn in the air, sassy cowgirl boots, indie graphic novels, returning to Austin to visit friends and family, cotton candy, her twin brother, a good mystery, and traveling to new and exciting places.

SETH - Teen Specialist
Seth moved to Charlotte to start his career at ImaginOn in October of 2008. Seth absolutely loves books, graphic novels, videogames, and movies. He also loves to talk with people who enjoy these things. In his spare time Seth enjoys discovering Charlotte a block at a time. He also enjoys listening to music, but is not yet confident enough in his skills to recommend anything to you, except for maybe OAR and Jimmy Buffet. You can never go wrong there. Seth’s future plans are to go to graduate school so that he can be a full fledged librarian. But for now he is just super excited to be a staff member at the Loft.

AMY - Teen Services Librarian
Amy moved to Charlotte in January 2009 to start her career as Teen Services Librarian in the Loft. When she was a month away from graduating with her Master's in Library Science from Indiana University, she was thrilled to find an available position at ImaginOn. She has always enjoyed working with and teaching young adults and originally went to graduate school to become a high school English teacher. After a semester of student teaching in Harlem, NY, she decided to become a teen librarian instead. When she is not hanging out with teens at the Loft, she enjoys activities outdoors like hiking and going for walks with her pets, listening to music and going to see bands live, hanging out with friends, traveling to new locales when she has the chance and, of course, reading!

CATHERINE - Teen Specialist
After many years of working in a traditional library, Catherine is excited to finally be a part of The Loft @ ImaginOn team. When she's not busy studying to complete her Masters in Library & Information Studies, Catherine spends her time reading realistic fiction, baking cupcakes, watching reality TV, shoe shopping and hanging out with friends and family. Catherine's a big animal lover and happens to have four cats, but she's far from being a crazy cat lady!

JIMMEKA - Teen Specialist
Jimmeka is a native of Charlotte, NC. She attended the University of North Carolina at Greensboro to receive her Bachelor's Degree in Human Development and Family Studies with a Concentration in Child and Adolescence. Prior to becoming a Teen Specialist, Jimmeka was an afterschool Site Coordinator at the YWCA here in Charlotte. Jimmeka is a movie FANATIC and has a passion for music. In her spare time Jimmeka writes and performs poetry. By her peers, she is known to be creative, artistic and a natural born leader. In the near future, Jimmeka plans to start her own non-profit organization that will provide opportunities for advancement for artistic and creative teens as she once was herself.
